Two more pieces in my "Alien Jellyfish" series. Above, is a piece featuring a Moon Jellyfish. In this piece I took the artistic liberty and made the creature look much more alien like by cropping the body and elongating the tentacles.
In the piece below is a Nettle Jellyfish. The liberties I took in this piece to make it appear alien like, was not with the jellyfish specifically, but more with the water around it and the "glow" emitting from the jellyfish. Anatomically the Nettle jellyfish looks exactly like a Nettle Jellyfish, but it looks as if it is radioactive and that the water in moves through turns ionized and emits an energy from each of the bubbles.
