It's been a while, but I finally finished my most recent illustration. It's still done in the same style as all of the other larger illustrations that I've posted up with the same markers. If you notice in the drawing : "An Old Forest Walkway" down at the bottom there are two rabbits interacting with each other. They are the same species of rabbit as you see here in this piece. They are aliens from another planet, a planet once dominated by humans, but where humans no longer exist. They are intelligent and sophisticated with a language of their own. Here you see a mother, a father and their tiny child bunny. The anatomy of these rabbits is similar to those of Earth, but different because of their eyes which contain no pupil and they each have three antenna on their head and face. Depending on where the antenna is located on the body is one way to tell if these rabbits are male of female. Their color patterns are very vibrant, not earth like tones of most of Earths animals.

As of a couple of days ago I officially made an Etsy Account. On the side of my blog here you'll see my mini Etsy store and can click over to view the items I now have for sale. The store is taking me a bit of time to get used to. This will be the first actual store front I've ever had. It's confusing trying to keep up with the shipping policies and creating a banner and your avatar. Right now the Etsy store is still in the process of being built. I have two items posted, they are both jewelry sets made from different stones with different pendants. I'm learning how to wire wrap stones/ pendants and so far I feel I've been very successful. The earrings in the collage above are the first pair of earrings I've ever made. And, all though it was tedious wrapping each individual small stone I'm very happy with the results.

This is a revised version of the logo I posted up a couple of days ago. A Friend of mine pointed out that green behind the moth would work better because of the contrast, and if you compare the original scan to this one you'll see that the lime green in the back actually brings the moth out more rather than having it get lots int the page. The changes to the color and the Luminosity where done by Elena Vacas at Lobotomy Art Lounge here on Blogger.
I went with this image and took a look at it on a business card on Vista Print where I will be making my order. After careful consideration I decided to add a colored background to the image so that it would blend into the color of the business card rather than jump right out with the white behind the logo. With the help of Ivan Gant the dark green background was added as you see it below.
Thank you to both Elena and Ivan for helping me get this little drawing up and running. It took 3 people to make it work >.< but with all of our collaboration I think it turned out great! Thank you guys again!

This is my second attempt at a logo for my business cards. I don't want to order them until I have the logo exactly right. The idea behind this logo is an image that is a play on words. It describes the name Sparky Tora Ink-Orporated. Sparky for the lightning, The Tiger Moth for the tiger and it is done in Ink for Ink-Orporated which of course is a play on the word Incorporated. I originally chose a straight forward baby tiger surrounded by the lightning in marker. But it didn't work as planned because it didn't feel like it described my work. This I did in more my style so that when you view my portfolio and see my artwork it makes more sense. Below is the original logo so you can see the difference. Tell me what you think?

The big question is... What Happened to the Bird? What are the Lady Bugs role in the birds disappearance? Was there ever a bird at all? What's your answer?

The forest is a very old, very wise and very surprising place. Who knows what paths it will take you down if you choose to walk in it and learn from it's ancient spirits. Who knows what unknown creatures you may find there...

Betta Fish, also know as Siamese Fighters are very territorial and live in murky tiny little mud holes in Thailand and India. Thus the murky water in my drawing. Although it is a common miss conception that Betta Fish only like small spaces, even researchers say that Betta Fish still need as much space in a tank as many other fresh water fish so they have room to grown and move about. I know this from my own Betta Fish. I have both a male and a female and we bought two separate tanks for them so they wouldn't mate and they LOVE swimming everywhere and playing games with their food and their bubbles. They even like watching us, as they are actually very curious creatures. Although they are very territorial against other Male Betta fish, sometimes even their own reflection if they live in an aquarium which also makes them very skittish. Like most male animals in the animal kingdom the male is the most colorful and the most vibrant to attract the female, which is the exact opposite of our Human society. The females need to be gorgeous and allure the male. But I guess we have different standards than most animals.

I have a bit of an obsession with Jellyfish. I believe they are quite astounding creatures. Their physical structure is so fragile a since it mostly just a membrane. They don't have any kind of a brain, respiratory system and no digestive system. That membrane does all of this for them. They breath through it, absorb the nutrients they need and their nervous system is made up of a net of nerves that run through that membrane which has only the basic of functions: it detects the presence of other creatures, simple direction and light. And there are close to 2,000 different kinds of Jellyfish. The most poisonous one is so tiny it is almost microscopic to our eyes. They inject venom into their prey/ victims through a sting. They use their tentacles similar to how we would use either a whip or a lance to stab their victim thus injecting the venom. By many cultures they are considered to be invaders and if even one jellyfish is caught in a net while fisherman are out collecting their catch they entire net has to be thrown back into the ocean because the fish are considered contaminated. Yet some Asian cultures eat these creatures as special culinary dishes. I always pictured these creatures as being quite Alien like, possibly one of the true invaders of the planet.
Thus here in this piece I took the approach of the Portuguese Man of War a huge dominating creature of the ocean to be able to survive in any environment and pose a threat to those around it.
This piece was done in a method called pointillism or stippling as some know it. It is all ink done with copic markers on bristol paper.
